How to Improve English Typing Speed? (7 Proven Tips)
1. Anchor to Home Row (ASDF - JKL;)
Always return your index fingers to F and J bumps. This enables typing without looking down.
2. Keep Eyes on the Screen
Look ahead at upcoming words rather than focusing on the key you are currently striking.
3. Maintain 98%+ Accuracy
Fixing mistakes with backspace costs 3x more time than typing at a steady, accurate pace.
4. Use All 10 Fingers
Assign specific fingers to specific keys to distribute work evenly and prevent hand strain.
5. Practice in 60s Bursts
Short, intense 1-minute tests build quick muscle memory and rapid neural reflexes.
6. Compete in Typing Races
Playing in the TypeBaazi AI Car Race pushes your subconscious to type faster under competition.
